Silence

The loudest language

Of them all

A beautiful bird

Perched

Sings it’s song

A chimpmuck

Flinches

At its call

And a fox

Scurries

Off to hide

Yet silence

the loudest language

Of them all

and broken silence

Is the bravest

of them all

Journey to fly

Or to fall

*Side note: I remember going to the beach the day I took this photo and how the movement of the ocean made the ice on top sound like beautiful glass wind chimes. Which is why I choose this particular photo for a poem about silence and noise.
